If you follow me on Instagram or on Facebook, you have been hearing me talk about Sueno Swimwear quite a bit. Simply because with these swimsuits you aren’t compromising anything. You get to reveal or cover that goddess body of yours to your preference, while maintaining the support and functionality necessary to conduct all kinds of water activities.

About Sueno Swimwear

Sueno Swimwear is a women’s swimwear brand, established in Halifax, that was created by Joanna Tranter, an incredibly talented designer. The fabric her business uses is of excellent quality and the designs integrate functionality with a little sex appeal.

The price range is also very reasonable, it’s not going to cost you an arm and a leg like those high end shops and also will beat the quality of any imported swimwear you find in a mainstream store!

I ordered three pieces before my recent trip to Panama. There are so many colours, designs and styles available, you will certainly find the right fit for your body type. Here are the ones I chose and why:

Swimsuit #1 – Lara One Piece

The Lara One Piece is really fun and stylish. It has a beautiful mesh detail in the front, adjustable side ties around the hips and a really cool braid detailing at the back (which can be changed and adjusted).

This swimsuit originally came in the palm bay fabric, which is navy with white palm leaves. I preferred the nude palm fabric, so Joanna created a custom order for me.

Love how it turned out!

The Lara One Piece is super comfortable and will keep everything in check when swimming. Not ideal for tanning since it’s a one piece but great for protecting your skin and doing more then lounging around!

Swimsuit #2 – Black and White One Piece

The black and white swimsuit is really unique as it has long sleeves. It may seem strange but in reality it’s incredibly versatile. For one, it’s great for any excursion since it can be worn with a pair of shorts as an outfit.

Secondly, it’s great for water activities such as paddle boarding, kayaking, surfing, etc. since it won’t slip off.

Thirdly, it increases protection from the sun. If you burn, you can wear this to prevent further damage, as I did 😉

Again, this swimsuit was available in black and grey, but had my heart set on the black and white combination. Super glad I went with the white (my favourite colour), it turned out beautiful. Although I will admit that even after washing it 3 times I still have seashell pieces stuck in the bottom lining, they just won’t come out. The joys of the sea 🐚!!

Swimsuit #3 – White Isla Mesh Top

I was so thrilled to find the White Isla Mesh Top, it’s feminine, flattering and oh so comfortable. I wanted a swim top that would coordinate well with any bikini bottom and this one is complete perfection.

The straps at the back look stunning and the little mesh detailing around the bust shows off a little extra skin, without being too flirtatious. Helps balance your look even if you choose a more risky bottom 😉

Want to combine a design and fabric you don’t see on the website? Don’t hesitate to contact Joanna through her contact page and make sure to visit her Etsy website for additional options! She is quick to respond and also very helpful.

Sueno swimwear is true to size. I know a lot of us, wear different sizes at the top or bottom. If that is the case for you, here is what I recommend. For a swimsuit piece with adjustable straps, go with the smaller size. If the swimsuit isn’t adjustable, then pick the larger size. You can even provide your measurements to ensure the ideal fit!

So if you are on the market for a swimsuit, why not take a look. Odds are you will fall in love with a design, maybe a few designs, and will look stunning at the pool, cottage, beach or wherever you end up this summer!
